Between Halloween and Christmas, Thanksgiving really gets the short end of the stick. Now, I'm not trying to insinuate than any holiday is better than the day of Christ's birth, but Thanksgiving comes awfully close. It's a day to sit down with your family and truly be thankful for all the good in your life. I know it's been a rough year for a lot of people, including myself, but I hope that that everyone can find something to be thankful for in the weeks ahead.
In any case, do you think it's too early to purchase a few Poinsettias?

I got a flier about two new exhibits opening up at the Museum of City History. One about communism and another one is about gender roles. I was talking to one of my co-workers and they said that the gender roles exhibit is particularly interesting. Something about how if you don't put women in their place, they'll turn into militant lesbians and try to secede from the country. I think I'm going to check it for myself sometime this weekend even if it does sound a little extreme.

It's alarming how many of you like to speak ill of the dead.
In other news, my girlfriend won't stop going on about the ball this Friday. It's one thing to be excited, but she keeps changing her mind about everything. First she wants to wear red, now she wants to wear blue. She doesn't know if she should wear her hair up or down. I told her that I'm sure she'll look beautiful no matter what, but I really think she's going to try to change everything at the last minute. I was looking forward to it, but now I'm not so sure.
